“Love me; I’m a woman”

An investigation into the effect of Love

on the commodification of the female body.

In this collaboration between performance artist Libby Wade and visual artist Anne Verheij the search for a non-stereotypical approach to the subject of commodification is sought through teasing visuals and repetitive movement.

Expectations are stretched and rituals are introduced.

Rather then presenting the audience with answers, both artists aim to confront their audience with the many questions and assumptions that arise when trying to open up the subjects ever expanding content.
